The Marks brothers

Comics are the faces of M&S

Jimmy Carr, Martin Freeman and Bob Mortimer have been signed up to be the new faces of Marks & Spencer.

The trio are to model the High Street giant's upmarket Autograph line in an attempt to revive flagging sales.

In the new advertisements, shot by David Bailey, Carr wears a pink shirt and blue tie while Freeman models a casual purple stripy shirt.

Carr, who is rarely seen out of a sharp suit, said: ‘Who doesn't wear M&S underwear? They've been supporting me for years and now I'm glad I've got a suit to wear as well.’
