Fringe shortlist announced

The shortlist for this year’s Dubble Act award, for the best comedy partnership on the Edinburgh Fringe, has been announced.

It is:

• John Oliver & Andy Zaltzman
• Penny Stubbs Party, pictured
• Fordham and Lipson: He Barks, She Bites
• Pajamamen
• Toulson & Harvey
• 13 O’Clock

The winner, selected by a panel of judges will be announced on Saturday.

The award was set up to promote fair trade chocolate bars. Publicist Charlotte Borger, said:  ‘There is a big emphasis on stand-up at the Festival Fringe and Dubble is keen to support the superb double act tradition that we are so proud of in the UK. We hope the award will encourage more double acts to the fore.’

The previous winners of the award were Laurence and Gus in 2003 and  Japanese duo Gamarjobat last year.
