So long, Fools

Work starts on spin-off sitcom

Work has started on a spin-off to Only Fools And Horses – with filming due to begin later this month.

Green Green Grass sees dodgy second-hand car dealer Boycie and his wife Marlene leave Peckham for a more tranquil life in the country.

The show, written by Only Fools creator John Sullivan, also introduces the couple’s 15-year-old son, Tyler.

Most of the popular Only Fools characters will not be making an appearance in the new sitcom, although Denzil will be in the first episode, bringing the ‘disturbing’ news that causes the couple to flee London.

The series, due to air on BBC1 later this year, will be filmed in front of a live studio audience.

Free tickets to the tapings – which start in Teddington Studios, Middlesex, on June 17 – are now available. See our free tickets page for details.
