Stepfather groped me, comic reveals
Ellen DeGeneres has revealed that she was molested by her late stepfather when she was a teenager.
In a new magazine interview, the comic turned talk-show host says she was groped in 1975, at the age of 17.
The incident happened while her mother Betty was in hospital being treated for breast cancer
In the interview with America’s Allure magazine she recalled: "He made me let him feel my breasts. He made me lie down because he said he felt [Betty’s] when she was lying down."
The lesbian comic said her stepfather turned to violcence when she refused his advances. She added: "He tried to break down the door to my bedroom... I had to kick a window out and escape and sleep in a hospital all night."
