Barker's son 'on run'

Actor 'flees child porn probe' says paper

Ronnie Barker's son has reportedly fled the country after being arrested under a child porn crackdown.

London’s Evening Standard today claims that 38-year-oldAdam Barker, 38, went on the run just as he was about to be formally charged.

The paper says he was originally detained as part of Operation Ore, the investigation into internet child pornography launched after American authorities busted a ring of abusers.

Barker is said to have fled his home in Ealing, West London, from where his computer was removed for analysis.

He has been an occasional actor, and at the age of six appeared alongside his father in Open All Hours.

Ronnie Barker is currently undergoing a career revival after the end of his self-imposed retirement to run a Cotswolds antique store. An authorized biography is released this week, and new Two Ronnies episodes are in the pipeline.

It is not known whether he has been in contact with his son, who allegedly failed to turn up at a police station under the terms of his bail.
