Peter Kay's new DVD has become the fastest-selling title of the year.
That Peter Kay Thing has shifted more than 145,000 copies in its first week.
It has gone straight to the top of the bestsellers list, dislodging the Star Wars trilogy and outselling Disney’s Aladdin – the week’s other top new entry.
The show was first shown on TV five years ago and features the Bolton-born comic playing different characters in a series of spoof documentaries.
It introduced wheelchair-bound club boss Brian Potter, in an episode that spawned Phoenix Nights.
This time last year, Phoenix Nights landed the title of fastest-selling DVD ever, shifting 139,282 copies in a week.
But it lost the crown the following week to the second series of The Office.
The head-to-head will be repeated on October 25, when the Christmas episodes of The Office are released on DVD.
