Dee to star in fairground drama

Jack Dee is to star in a new ITV1 drama from Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye.

In Tunnel Of Love, the comic will play a carnival handyman who is sued for damages after a series of fairground accidents, then becomes an unlikely sleuth in an attempt to uncover the truth.

Filming on the 90-minute show, made by Thames TV, starts next month.

The following month, Dee will be in Dublin filming a new British movie called Short Orders alongside movie legend John Hurt.

Meanwhile, his 45-minute stand-up series Live At The Apollo, featuring extended sets from the likes of Joan Rivers, Ross Noble amd Omid Djalili, will air on BBC1 from Monday September 6
