Homer's catchphrase tops poll

Homer Simpson’s D’oh has topped a poll of favourite comedy catchphrases.

More than a third of the 3,000 readers who took part in the survey by lads’ mag Nuts voted for the exasperated expression of stupidity.

In second place came “Don’t panic!” from Dad’s Army.

But the poll contained a couple of unusual choices, including the third placed "I wan' that wun” from Little Britain’s supposedly wheelchair-bound Andy.

The rest of the list is

4. “You plonker” from Only Fools and Horses

5. “I don't believe it" from One Foot in the Grave

6. “Proper Bo” fro Bo Selecta

7. “Suits you” from the Fast Show (although the correct phrase is actually ‘suit you’)

8. “Ah-ha!” from Alan Partridg

9. “Booyakasha!” from "Ali G

10. “Loadsamoney!” from "Harry Enfield
