Kim says no to Sex

Movie plans dropped

Plans for a movie version of Sex And The City have been dropped after star Kim Cattrall pulled out.

The British-born actress, who plays slutty Samantha, said she could not commit to the film because there was no script nor start date.

Her spokeswoman said: “She would have loved to have done the movie, but waited as long as possible with no script or start date and felt she had to take other offers that were presented to he.

“Kim would of course love to do the film and would be happy to revisit the project in the future."

But Hollywood trade journalVariety reports that the idea was abandoned after Cattrall demanded script approval and more money, to bring her in line with Sarah Jessica Parker.

An HBO spokesman said: "We've had six wonderful years with the show and we're extremely proud of what we've accomplished."
