Ohmigod! It's Kilkenny

Irish festival line-up announced

The line-up for this year’s Kilkenny comedy festival has been unveiled.

The five-day event, called Murphy’s Cat Laughs, has again attracted the best stand-up from both sides of the Atlantic.

Visiting Americans include Emo Philips (pictured),  Sabrina The Teenage Witch star Caroline Rhea and Perrier-winner Demitris Martin.

English stars include Jimmy Carr, Boothby Graffoe and Daniel Kitson, who perform alongside Irish acts like Dara O’Briain, Deirdre O’Kane, Ed Byrne and Tommy Tiernan.

The international line-up flooding into the small city, which has a population of just 19,000, also includes Australian Adam Hills, Scot Fred Macaulay and Canadian Mike Wilmot.

There’s also a short film festival and sculpture exhibition alongside more than 80 stand-up performances.

The tenth annual event runs from June 5 to 9. Visit the official site for full details.
