The Bhoy done well

Danny to perform for the Queen

Danny Bhoy and Al Murray are to perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance next week.

No comics have officially been named on the bill yet, with a spokeswoman saying: "I haven't had anyone confirmed yet."

But Chortle has learned that the young Scottish-Asian stand-up and the proudly British Pub Landlord will be performing.

They will be sharing the stage of Edinburgh's Festival Theatre with the likes of Luciano Pavarotti, Daniel Bedingfield and Westlife.

The show is a boon to comics' careers, offering prime-time ITV exposure and alerting them to casting agents.

Monday's show, the 75th Royal Variety Performance, will be hosted by Cat Deeley and broadcast on ITV1 next Wednesday.
