Loaded magazine has launched its own range of comedy awards.

The Laftas will be awarded in 12 categories, from best stand-up to funniest DJ.

Winners will be decided by readers' vote, via a form in the magazine or online at www.loaded.co.uk.

The best stand-up category is sponsored by Jongleurs, and voting forms for that award will be available at the comedy club chain.

Awards will be handed out at a ceremony in London's West End on October 8.

A spokesman for the magazine said: " As an early champion and supporter of comedians such as Jack Dee, Steve Coogan, Frank Skinner and more recently Johnny Vegas, Loaded has always embraced humour."
