A snip at £1,000

Cooper's guillotine is auctioned off

An original guillotine that Tommy Cooper once used in his act is being auctioned on eBay.

The comic legend used the prop on Michael Parkinson's show, and it was later owned by Paul Daniels.

It has recently been used in the West End tribute show Jus' Like That!, but now the run is over, producers are keen to sell it.

Bidding stood at £100 at the time of writing, with £1,000 guaranteed to buy the historic prop.

Show producer Angela Karagianis said: " The guillotine is no longer safe to use as it has been altered for the stage show but is a great piece of memorabilia from the period."

The auction closes on Monday morning. Click here to bid.
