Men In Coats head for BBC

Silent comedy act Men In Coats are set for their own BBC series.

The parka-wearing double act, who recently performed a private gig for Prince Charles, have reportedly been offered their own sitcom.

One of the pair, Mick Dow, told Teletext: "I like the idea of taking these two silent characters and putting them into everyday situations.

"I want to play on the fact there are so many languages spoken in Britain and here you have two characters who don't say anything and expose the fact that people rarely communicate."

Dow, and his double act partner Maddy Sparham, are currently on tour, and will be performing a short run at this year's Edinburgh Festival.
