Adam lands Radio 4 show

Stand-up Adam Bloom has landed a six-part series for Radio 4.

Fellow comics Brendon Burns, Stefano Paolini and Rob Rouse are also taking part in the new show, The Trouble With Adam Bloom, alongside actress Sarah Ann Kennedy.

The BBC described the show, to be taped next month, as "a bold new format mixing stand-up with reconstructions of real events".

Bloom explained: "Each episode is about a different problem, such as bad service in restaurants, and after a short monologue we re-enact a genuine experience from my life, occasionally pausing to talk to the audience about what's happened.

"At the end of the scene all the characters come forward one by one and give their perspective on the problem.

"Then we re-enact the scene two more times with different endings, the first one for comic effect and the second one to show how easily the problem could've been avoided.
