Cleese's fresh Fields

Tribute to 'neglected' WC

John Cleese is to give a university lecture on WC Fields.

The comic will give the talk, entitled A Comedian for Politically Incorrect Times, at Cornell University on April 1.

Cleese said he chose to lecture on Fields because he has been neglected and forgotten.

Cornell based in Ithaca, New York made the former Python a professor-at-large four years ago, an honorary title that involves occasonal visits to the campus.

Cleese will be aided in the talk by James Curtis, author of a new biography of Fields.
