Sketch troupe land Radio 4 series

The Club Seals sketch group has landed a Radio 4 show based on their Edinburgh show The Museum Of Everything.

The team of Marcus Brigstocke, Danny Robins and Dan Tetsell has been commissioned to make six half-hour episodes to be broadcast later this year.

It will be recorded in London's Drill Hall in June, but transmission dates are not yet known.

Robins said: "We're obviously really chuffed to bits that we got the radio series and it makes all the hard work, obscene expense and liver-damaging drinking of Edinburgh worthwhile.

"It's proof that it is worth mortgaging your granny to go to the Fringe."

Club Seals were the team responsible for BBC2's We Are History, and Brigstocke achieved wider fame starring in the BBC1 sitcom The Savages.

The Museum Of Everything is themed around the weird world of museums, guided tours, audio visual experiences and historical re-enactments.

Before it transfers to radio, the group are performing a short run at London's Soho Theatre from January 29 to February 1. Click here for tickets.
