It's all gone pear-shaped

Car theft tops comics' unlucky week

Comic Brian Damage and his wife Krysstal are stranded in Edinburgh after his car was stolen and torched.

The disaster tops an eventful week for the pair, who host a show aptly called Pear-Shaped At Midnight.

Firstly, posters were lost for two weeks, had to be reprinted and ended up arriving after their show had started.

Next the chairs for the venue failed to be delivered, so the first show went ahead with virtually no seating.

Then Brian's mobile phone was stolen - and now his car has gone, too.

The car, set alight at Portobello golf course, contained, among other things, copies of their CD Silly Songs, which they were hoping to sell.

The couple are now stranded in Edinburgh and are wondering how to get themselves and their equipment back to London after the festival.

Brian said: "But are we bitter? Are we sad? No way! Because despite all these disasters, the show must go on, and so far the shows and guest performances are going great."

Edinburgh remains a special place for Brian & Krysstal because they met here in August 2000 and were married a month later.
