Byrne, Cameron set for surival ordeal

Ed Byrne and Rhona Cameron could be stranded in a remote rainforest for a new TV show.

The comics are tipped to be among the celebrities braving the dangers of the jungle in ITV's new survival series I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

Seven stars will take part in the ordeal, filmed in Northern Australia for two weeks from August 24.

The News of the World today names Byrne and Cameron, as well as Christine Hamilton, Tony Blackburn, Nigel Benn, Melinda Messenger, Paul McKenna and Marc Bannerman as being on the shortlist.

The seven chosen will hace to build their own shelter, hunt for food and complete a series of gruelling tasks in humid temperatures averaging a sweltering 30oC.

Viewers will vote off the worst performers, and reward the best.

The isolated location - home to deadly crocodiles, snakes and spiders - was used as the setting for one of the American series of Survivor.
