The Time Warp again

'Rocky' reprised for 30th birthday

The Rocky Horror Show is to be reprised and updated for its 30th anniversary,.

American TV execs are to make a two-hour movie based on creator Richard O'Brien's cult classic.

But in the new version, the sinister scientist Doctor Frank N. Furter will not be a Frankenstein-style madman in a Transylvanian castle, but a plastic surgeon in a plush penthouse.

The remake is set to be screened by Fox in February - 30 years after O'Brien's started work on the original London show.

It will be directed by Stephan Elliott, who made The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, according to the Hollywood Reporter

O'Brien is acting as a consultant on the TV project, and will contribute at least one new song.
