Frank Skinner has invited the anger of England fans by saying he wants Germany to win the World Cup.

The comic says he's supporting England's bitterest rivals because he wants a European team to win.

But, paradoxically, his first choice after England was host nation South Korea.

Skinner, who created classic football anthem Three Lions, told the Sun: "I was even thinking of wearing my replica German shirt at the weekend, but I thought that would be a bit dangerous.

"I was gutted when England went out but Germany are Europeans so they're kind of the home team now.

"I know it's a controversial choice but I would prefer them to Brazil any day."
