Jasper in West End musical

Jasper Carrott is to make his debut in a West End musical.

He will take the role of Ko-Ko in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado when it returns to the Savoy Theatre next month.

It opens on June 25 for a 12-week run.

The show, staged by the famed D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, won an Olivier award for musical production when it was last at the theatre, in 2000.
