Gervais works on stand-up show

Ricky Gervais is working on his first full-length stand-up show.

He will be performing his show in London in July, after work on the second series of The Office is over.

The show is described as an exploration of his fascination for the animal kingdom.

Bafta winner Gervais says his biggest worry about the hour-long show is that he's "never had to go that long without sitting down or eating".

The show, Animals, opens at the Soho Theatre on July 1, and runs for two weeks.

For tickets, priced £12 (£10 concs), call the box office on 020 7478 0100.
