BBC showcases black and Asian comics

Black and Asian stand-ups are to be showcased in a BBC2 show next month.

The night of ethnic comedy will be recorded in London club as part of the corporation's Mega Mela festival.

Those appearing include Shazia Mirza, Inder Manocha, Paul Sinha, Rudi Lickwood and Paul Chowdhry.

Award-winning actor and writer Felix Dexter (pictured) will also be on stage in the character of Nathaniel the Nigerian taxi Driver.

The night, recorded at Sound in London's Leicester Square on December 4, will be hosted by Canadian-American comic Russell Peters.

Forty minutes of highlights will be shown on BBC2 at 11.20pm on December 13.
