REPEATS of an old Seinfeld episode have been pulled from the schedules because of the anthrax scare.

The Invitations has been withdrawn from syndication in the US because it shows George's fiancee Susan dying from licking cheap wedding invitation envelopes.

It was due to have aired on some channels on October 22, but was replaced by a different episode.

A spokesman for distributors Columbia Tri-Star told TV Guide Online: "Since September 11, we have been very sensitive to content in all programming we distribute."
