Phill Jupitus is to appear in hospital drama Holby City.

In the serious acting role, he plays a fat bloke who dies of a heart attack.

He said: "It wasn't the first time I died, and it won't be the last."

And the football-loving comic told London's Time Out magazine how he prepared for the demanding role. "I just thought of West Ham plummeting down the league table, then added a bit of Di Canio-esque writhing during the death scene."
