£500,000 two-for-one deals

The online box office for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has opened.

Tickets for all shows on the fringe are on sale at www.edfringe.com.

The official box office does not charge booking, handling or postage charges - saving up to £1.50 a go.

Telephone bookings have also opened on 0131 226 0000 between 10am and 6pm, Mondays to Fridays.

For the first two days of the festival (August 5 and 6), most shows are offering a two-for-one deal through the box office, in a £500,000 ticket giveaway.
