Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator has been released on a DVD and Blu-Ray today – and we have six copies to give away.
This celebrated political satire was the comedian’s first foray into the talkies, and is considered one of the most important of his career, highlighting the dangers of the Nazi regime while America was still at peace with Hitler’s Reich.
In it, Chaplin plays both the fascist dictator Adenoid Hynkel, and a Jewish barber who tries to spread a message of peace. Here is a clip:
Alongside The Kid, is one of two of Chaplin’s classic comedies to have been given a fresh release today on the Park Circus label. The DVD is priced £15.99, but to stand a chance of winning a copy, just answer the following question by May 24, when the winners will be chosen at random from all correct answers received.
