Original Review: In a world where cynicism, darkness and aloofness rule the comedy roost, We Are Klang offer an antidote of pure, unrestrained stupidity. This energetic trio, all more-than decent stand-ups in their own right, aren’t too cool to look idiotic for the sake of a laugh. Any dignity and decorum they might hope to have is willingly sacrificed for the sake of their ribald, over-the-top songs and sketches. It’s not so much about the writing, as the exuberant performances, which are laced with the sort of freewheeling anarchy that evokes the spirit of the Marx Brothers. Thus something fairly straightforward – a David Blaine parody, for instance - is elevated into thing of ridiculous joy. Likewise, song lyrics are hollered out in punkish frenzy, and there’s a rich vein of physical humour running through their set that gives it a rare energy. Everything’s grossly exaggerated, and that extends to their subject matter, with outrageous depravities and crushingly inappropriate cultural ignorance thrown casually into the mix. Yet however off-colour the material might seem, it never really feels offensive as it’s performed with such sheer ridiculous glee. The three are all clearly at ease on stage, and with each other, allowing them to deviate from the script, teasing and daring each other into ever more extreme territory. Hall is nominally the restrained voice of reason, Davies the towering bully and Larwood the slow, put-upon victim – but their roles are not set in stone, adding to the fluidity of their set. It’s an alluring mix of energy and fun, and one that makes Klang an irresistible force to be reckoned with. |

Fantastic! After seeing stand up from Steve (OK) and Greg (Excellent) over the past few months I was looking forwad to the Klang warm up show in Leamington Spa. I have not laughed so much in years. They were simply brilliant. See them live when you can. JW, November 2009 |

I am fastly becoming a super fan of the Klang, loving the BBC Three show and can't wait to go and see them live. julie, August 2009 |

Just seen them on Saturday Night Live. They were fantastic Lauren, December 2007 |

Saw the West End show; good grief, this is poor quality stuff! They recently spent half an hour a week dying on their arses on BBC7, as if to confirm their lazy derivative "comedy". Avoid. Like one would avoid a plague. Dan G, April 2007 |

I saw the Edinburgh show and the west end one. Top nights on both occasions. I can't believe they are not national already. These guys put in mind of how the Pythons would have been recieved early on. I'm suprised that some people just don't get it? It pushes the boundaries without being shocking for the sake of it. I reckon this stuff will go far and look forward to catching them again. Maybe a tour will do the trick? Good luck lads! Will, February 2007 |

I found it horrendously offensive. Avoid. James Palkington, July 2006 |

The 'what is it like being a jew' song was very funny and stayed in my head for days, but I didn't laugh at all apart from that Rose Willis, July 2006 |
