Compered at Jongleurs this evening, totally in control and very funny. I maintain that he is the finest compere I've ever seen. Actual wealth of material is second to sheer charisma when it comes to this man. I've done and seen gigs all over but no one makes the acts feel more welcome and makes such an effort to keep the love high. He is who he is and he's proud of it, that's what makes him special. The moment Windsor jumped up onto the stage at the Red Rose, I started to chuckle. His energetic manner and jovial looks is what's needed for getting the crowd warmed up. OK, so now and then he dies, and I've seen this happen too once - I caused it! But he manages to bounce back relatively unflustered and dealing with people like me comes with experience, so give him a whirl. Good luck to him.
