Documentary explores 'these loose ends of my mind'

A documentary about stand-up Terry Alderton is to have its world premiere in London next week.

Comic is a look at how the comedian deals with the voices in his head, which he lets out on stage, and is described as a 'study of mental illness, creative struggle and the comedic spirit'

Alderton has multiple personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, depression and increasingly tinnitus and deafness.

In the film he talks about 'Bringing on all the invisible people, these sides, these Loose Ends of my mind... these things that need to be bolted down but truly aren't bolted down. The things that took over from Terry Alderton all those years ago Here's not here any more, he's long gone.'

The hour-long film, described as 'intimate portrait of an exceptionally creative and productive individual' is the feature debut from director Sam Callis, who has perviously been a stage and screen actor, and is produced by hias brother Ben.

It will have its world premiere at Rich Mix in Shoreditch on April 19, as part of the East End film festival, Tickets are available here.
