He gave me jaw ache I laughed so much, he was absolutely brilliant! He was by far the best act of the night. I have read most reviews on here of Terry, and they nearly all agree... Terry is very funny and not in the slightest 'high-brow'... His stupid talking to himself with his back to the crowd was stupid but fitted his act superbly. He talked to the audience at times and again was funny without making them feel uncomfortable... he was a breath of fresh air from some of the smug gits I have occasionally had to endure on stage. I told everybody about him at the time, and would happily pay to see him again.

Tony, October 2007

I've been (or so I thought until Friday) lucky enough to see him many times over the years, but Friday left me thinking of that quote that Paul Kaye said to Steve Martin: 'Why aren't you funny any more?'. His act was an embarrassment - lazy, dull and derivative and most of all, painfully unfunny - his act seemed to be him doing a rap and pretending he was hearing voices from the Comedy Store 'Laughing Mouth' logo. The best bit about his act was when he finished. I can't believe he was headlining.

John, July 2007

I've read Chortle's review in utter amazement, some of the things that have been said are true but when I saw him as headline at the Red Card Comedy Club Norwich he was utterly brilliant. He is the first comic I have EVER seen to have received a standing ovation. I have seen easily 200+ and he is the best I have seen in a long while. He played the crowd fantastically, even when the sound man screwed up he coped and even made excellent jokes about it. 10/10 would definitely see him again

Adam Smith, September 2006

I'm with Chortle on this one. He's an impressive mimic and an energetic performer, but his act seems to amount to little more than funny voices and noises. The laughter comes from the fact that the audience thinks that youth of today/drum'n'bass/Lord of the Rings characters are intrinsically funny. He hasn't anything to *say* about any of these things. All his fans find a man doing a straightforward impression of a type of music absolutely side-splitting and they call Chortle snobs?

Tom, September 2006

Terry was the best thing at this years festival. better than the tattoo, Radiohead, La Clique and all the other comics I've seen put together. Expertly timed comic genius. Really have no clue where you are coming from with this review.

Conrad, August 2006

My favourite act by a country mile. Stop being so highbrow, Chortle

Mark, July 2006

Irritating in the same way that Shane Ritchie & Brian Conley are. People who find him funny would probably wet their pants at Hale and Pace. Nuts to all of them.

Pete, July 2006

Saw Terry at Headliners Chiswick last night, he brought the house down. Surely alternative comedy is just that, Chortle. I've been enjoying this 'industry' since the very early 90's and Terry's act is certainly not brain fodder, but then nor was Norman Wisdom, Laurel & Hardy etc

Barnsey, June 2006
