I saw him at The Riverfront, Newport in November 2008. Thought he was very very good. Not much bad language and no crudeness. Would go and see him again.

Steve Williams is possibly at his best as a compere. He improvises on nothing and is consistently not only funny, but surreal and very much himself all the time. I've been impressed with him from the first time that I ever worked alongside him in Shepherd's Bush. He deserves to go far! The last time I thought similar things about a compere, the up and coming comedian compering that night was called Eddie Izzard.

I'm really surprised by all the negative comments. I saw Steve in Putney last night and he was very very funny. His act is laid back to the point of you questioning his sobriety but his brilliant put-downs shows he's a very quick thinker. Quality material, quality ad libs - go see this guy.

Saw him in Cardiff, he was good but not great. Some great material but seemed to have trouble getting it out. A unresponsive crowd probably didnt help and I didnt get to see much ad libbing.
