This character comic is possibly the only Sikh comic in the country, who is just starting out on the circuit after establishing himself with Asian audiences. But when it comes to Asian comedy characters, the comparison with the talented Goodness Gracious Me team is an obvious one to make, and one which sadly does not flatter Khalon. His set is not without laughs, but his Disco Sikh persona seemed over-the-top and lacking the subtleties we have come to expect from such creations. However, there is a lot of talent here and with some honing, Funjabi could prove to be a circuit regular .
