Original Review:

Self-styled rock and roll poet Edwards has a real hotch-potch of an act, in terms of both style and quality of material. He's at his best with the comic songs lamenting his lost punk youth that form the backbone of his act, but these are fleshed out with some more traditional stand-up stuff - parts of which are very strong and parts of which (most notably a painful sequence of quickfire puns) verge on the embarassing. Still, see him for the songs alone, he's worth it.

He's nothing special. He's all ego and no substance.

Riera, June 2010

Thoroughly enjoyed his set last night at Maidstone's Walnut Tree. Paul kept the audience with him throughout his 35 min performance and has become a very popular regular at this club. Cheers mate.

Stuart Chapman, May 2010

Saw him in Galway, he was rubbish

Brian Harty, September 2009

Shocking, Saw him at the Leeds festival and dont really know what to say. Really hit low when he sang a song about a "cow-poke." Did try to fit in with us "kids" though by promising one idiot at the front a joint everytime he came out...never did appear though.

Steven Kenney , September 2006

Paul has great laid back, confident and original style. His songs are great and his gags delivered with astute timing.

Jason Cairns, January 2006

Saw him headlining and was very underwhelmed with his lowest-of-the-lowest common denominator humour. He barely managed a quarter of an hour on a night when all the other acts had stormed. The compere had to do 20 minutes at the end to make up for him. He is probably most appreciated by pissed up Jongleurs crowds.

Nelson, March 2005

A refreshingly light-hearted giggle.

Sarah, January 2005

I saw him at Reading Festival and he was absolutely brilliant. Very witty and a delight
