Patrick Monahan cast in Cinderella

Comic to do panto in Darlington

Patrick Monahan is to star in pantomime in Darlington this Christmas.

The comic will play Buttons in the production of Cinderella being staged at Darlington Hippodrome, alongside  Steps singer Faye Tozer, who will be the fairy godmother.

Monahan previously played Mayor Ringer in Goldilocks in Billingham in 2015, Captain Hook in Peter Pan in Worthing in 2016 and Herman The Henchman in Snow White at Darlington in 2017.

The Hippodrome’s programming director Heather Tarran-Jones, programming and development director at the Hippodrome, said ‘We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patrick back as part of our festive pantomime. ‘

She added that he ‘produced fabulous reactions from audiences’ when he last appeared.

Cinderella runs from  December 10 to December 31.
