Phil Differ began writing comedy in the early Eighties, contributing to such shows as Naked Radio, A Kick Up The Eighties, Spitting Image and Not the Nine O'Clock News.

He then joined the comedy department at BBC Scotland, and then on to the independent Comedy Unit where his production credits include Chewin the Fat and Radio Scotland's Watson’s Wind Up.

He has aso been a regular newspaper columnist and a regular after-dinner speaker

In 2005, Phil turned to stand-up and is now a regular on the Scottish circuit
