Born and bred in Sunderland, Mat Reed started comedy in 2001 as half of the double act Mat & Faron with Faron Smith. And as a solo act, he made the finals of the Daily Telegraph Open mic award in 2002 and of the Leicester Comedian of the Year contest the following year. |

I like most Geordie comedians (not biased being as I'm Geordie born) Northern comics generally have good craic. Matt's not the regions best but he's not the worst by a long shot. Has a slight air of arrogance about him. Sharon., May 2013 |

Saw Matt for the first time in Cardiff he was good & the second time this year in Liverpool he was even funnier second time around. He giggles like a girl and he loves female attention. He flirted with me and my friend all night during and after the show. Could say he nailed it. Look forward to number 3. Becky. Becky., October 2012 |

Used to go to School with Matt in my teens. Saw him in Cardiff in 2011. Wasn't sure how funny he'd be, but wasn't disappointed, great show mate, couldn't stop laughing! Dave Holley, January 2012 |

Saw Matt on a hen night in Cardiff in Oct 2011. He's good. Loves the ladies attention, a bit too much. Very flirtatious & played the audience banter card a bit too long. I'd prefer to hear more jokes & less audience participation next time. As it's the comics we pay to watch. Megan, November 2011 |
|
Saw him at the Cardiff Glee club a few days ago and he was very very funny. Will defintely be looking out for any future shows he does in Cardiff Fiona, October 2011 |

Matt Reed was great fun, kept the Cardiff bozos under control and kept everyone including himself giggling between acts, apart from Jack Dee who was the star performer. Matt was the funniest guy in the room :) Emma, October 2011 |

Saw Matt a few weeks ago in London. Had the crowd in stitched. The wife's ribs were hurting the next day. Cracking job pal, keep it up Andy Townsend, July 2011 |

Wife and I caught Matt Reed at The Stand in Edinburgh last night. What a performance! Stunning set! Truly gifted! This man was sucking diesel last night – where I come from that translates as shit hot. See him! NOW! John, January 2010 |
