Seen Michael perform many times and never once have people not totally enjoyed the whole set. He has the respect of his peers, the ability to create new material all the time and a wonderfully laid back style which IS his own and is unique. Worth noting too that you can't blag the audience. Wake up and smell the guinness. This guy is good

Saw him in Edinburgh at both the BBC final and the SYTYF final and I thought he had a lot of well-constructed gags, about usual topics, I concede, but performed them with great comic effect. I'm sure he had to surpass a lot of UK and Irish comics to get that far in both competitions.
