I've gigged with Matt in the UK and Australia, and he's a top act - headlining all the gigs in Oz and superb in the UK. A great act with a great future in comedy, slick, stylish and fantastically funny. Dan Willis, June 2005 |
I saw him last night at the Red Card Comedy Club in Norwich. He was very good, he followed the worst compere ever who tried his hardest to piss people off. Matt caught the audience in his first gag and went on from there. Very good - 7/10 Adam, April 2005 |
Flipping enjoyable. This guy has a big future ahead of him. Kirsty Gallagher, February 2005 |
I very much agree that the review is too harsh, especially based on such a short set. I think Matt has fantastic stage presence and is very warm. His style is relaxed and confident, his accents excellent, and -most importantly- he's very very funny. Very enjoyable and highly recommended. Michelle Farr, July 2004 |
As a newcomer he is OK. Some good material but delivery seemed hampered by a nervous and forgetful style. The set was too short to get me used to his style. Olie, May 2004 |

Saw Matt last night at the Bath Comedy Cavern. Got lots of laughs, including a great set on Joseph's reaction to God nailing his woman first. Oral sex references were minimal - but it was a short set, unfortunately. Enjoyable. Dodger The Goat, April 2004 |
The review is far too harsh, I think Matt is relatively new to stand up and is as funny a newcomer as I have seen. Few performers, at his stage, have such a confident and winning on-stage persona. His material may not be ground breaking but it is bloody funny. Damion Larkin, April 2004 |
