So very sad and so unexpected. For a long time she was one of the funniest and most likeable presences on R4, and everything I hear about Linda now - like her presidency of the Humanist Society - just reinforces how interesting and admirable she was. The first line I remember of hers was "the rouble is now not worth the potato it's printed with". Deepest sympathies to her family and friends

Linda, in life, brought tears to my eyes on her every News Quiz appearance. I learned of her recent death on that same programmes and once again there are tears in my eyes. Rest easy Linda. We loved you!
