Linda Smith was brilliant. My favourite of her many throwaway remarks, when commenting on the tiresome stories of people who had battled through dungeon, fire, sword and appalling weather to get to work was, 'I'm sure there comes a point when 'plucky' tips over into 'stupid'' She will be sadly missed.
