I've just read the news of her untimely death. I'm very bad at remembering the names of people I hear on the radio, but when I heard Linda Smith I vowed to pay attention at the end of the programme and find out who she was. She stood out among her peers for her spot-on parodies of modern life, which will be poorer without her. RIP.
