Lou Chawner manages the rare quality of in a stand up in being quite filthy while completely endearing at the same time without and posturing but merely a relaxed confidence that adds tension to some truly killer lines. An act worth watching for the future and a great anti-dote for a battered day

Lou's a champion act. He has blown loads of other acts of the stage. I've booked him at all of my venues and he always storms it. I've always trusted reviews by this site, but this is so wrong as to be baffling

Ya boo sucks to that review, Lou's great. No bland whimsy or toothless edge with this act. Just very sharp material told in the best regional accent for comedy going. And a genuine rarity, a comedian often described as "likeable" that is actually likeable for once. Not just an egomaniac that smiles at the audience, yer proper humility. This review is only second in wrongness to the one you gave to Gavin Webster.

Lou did a gig for me at the guildhal a while back and was well received by the audience who get to see a lot of performers; he has a laid back style and has some funny material. I thought he was good regardless!
