Haven't seen him in a while so paid a visit to the Backyard last week - still as funny as ever especially handling the somewhat rowdy audience

Sue, October 2005

Could write "How to be unamusing" if he knew enough words.

Louis, July 2005

Very very talented, How can someone be this funny for all these years?

P, April 2005

Criminally underated! Buy his vidoes and prepare to laugh your face off.

Alex Mozdiak, April 2005

Very very funny indeed, he has definitely got my thumbs up.

Katie McCartan, January 2005

I am a regular at the Backyard because Lee is the greatestt. Top quality, and hard to tell what is planned and what just fell out his mouth before he had time to think it through. It often seems to be a mixture of the two as he has a very natural delivery and often makes himself laugh. He is lucky that his naturally comical facial expressions lend themselves beautifully to his comedy too.

Sarah, January 2005

Saw him perform in Hull in 1996 and it was a really great night of comedy - remembering it brings back many a smile and giggle.

Katherine Birkett, February 2004

Lee Hurst seemingly effortlessly combines top-rate material with hysterically funny punter-bashing. I've never seen anyone work a crowd as successfully as him. The Backyard Comedy Club is a must - the first time I went I laughed so hard my stomach hurt for two days afterwards. Also a very cheap venue compared with the Comedy Store etc.
