We checked Lucy out on the first night of her UK Happiness tour at the City Varieties. It's a delicious trip through what it means to be happy with some very well observed witticisms as well not seeming too scripted, giving it that "just for you" feel.

Saw Lucy as a warm-up last night for Mitchell and Webb, and she was very funny. Despite being constantly interrupted by filming etc and subsequently having to MC on and off for about two and a half hours she had a surprisingly good knack for remembering people's names, ages, jobs, home towns etc even if she hadn't spoken to them for well over an hour. Not a hilarious comedienne, but a charming, pleasant and relaxed one who puts her audience at ease with.. uh... ease.

I thought Lucy Porter was brill. She talks about general issues and includes the people within the room. Good luck, Lucy

Lucy never fails to have me in stitches - brilliant
Andy, November 2005
Funny in her own devilish way, and struck up a good rapport with a quiet audience right from the start.
Paul Arrowsmith, November 2005
One of the funniest ladies around
Paul G, November 2005
Not funny in the slightest.

Have just seen Lucy on the Comedy Store. Had me rolling on the floor laughing, some very funny jokes about Prince Harry & Geri Halliwell. Definately one of the greats on the go
