|Retells an old heckler story|
|Keir and Niall|
Finalist in Scottish Comedian Of The Year 2008 and 2009
Original Review:Keir McAllister starts with undistinctive fare: talking about ginger people and mining national stereotypes about the arrogant English and the relentless upbeat Australians, seguewaying into some Steve Irwin comments that are so old hat itís almost nostalgic to hear them again. But heís got an appealing delivery, so the audience stick with him.
And it pays off, as the second half of his set is in a different league from the first, the turning point coming with an observation or two about the William Wallace memorial. After this, the fire in his belly ignites, and he becomes violently vicious about Lady Thatcher, to the obvious delight of the audience.
Theyíre less pleased with his sick jokes about Jordanís son, but McAllister uses the outrage to his advantage.
