Jade the Folk Singer made her debut in the 2002 Edinburgh Fringe show, Mullets and Daughters, which featured three creations of Australian character comedian Sarah Adams.

The following year Adams won the Funny Women competition as Jade, and followed it up with two more solo Fringe shows.
