Original Review:
Ian Fox is clearly aiming to write bad-taste jokes that can be shared around the pub. He used to start with Christopher Reeve gags, now it’s Michael Jackson.He can write a gag, with brisk lines and memorable imagery – Womble-bumming, anyone? – which combines well with an almost childish delight at saying the wrong thing. But there’s also an over-familiarity in the premises, such as going to Amsterdam and taking drugs.
And it doesn’t help that he struggles to pick up any energy. There’s a fine line between a relaxed delivery and an unexciting one, and Fox strays over it rather too often. Date of review: Oct 2007

I think there is an awful lot of trolling going on here. Ian is a hard working comedian, I\'ve never seen him stuck for a put down, I\'ve never heard him use the word dude on stage and I\'ve never seen him self depricate. A long way from the finished article, but with some original ideas and a likeable presence. When I saw him he was too easily put off when jokes didn\'t work and became much too self-deprecating. But in 18 months he could be a very capable 20 minute act. Nelson 11.11.04
