Worked with Ian after not seeing him for a good few years and was reminded what an intelligent, soulful, charismatic, prolific, and downright hilarious comedian he is. I was truly inspired.

Overrated, arrogant, fond of reminding everyone that he has been around 17 years without being on TV If I was in a job for 17 years and didnt get a promotion I would get the hint.
James Dixon, August 2004
Weak material - Bombed in Liverpool Rwahide club. I think a heckler said something at the front and he never got back into his stride. Seemed a bit desperate to shock, like watching your dad make a drunken twat of himself at Christmas. Weak headliner.

Love him or hate him, at least you remember him. Thank God we still have his like, who won't compromise and play it safe Surely unpredictability is the very essence of live performance? If you want comics who'll jukebox safe material at you all night, stay in and watch the telly, or stick to certain well-known corporate comedy clubs. He absolutely storms almost every gig and leaves (most) punters in stitches.

The best act on the night, hilarious and angry. I'm pleased he's found an outlet onstage as he'd be a danger to the public! Very funny.

Saw him in from of a notoriously difficult Glasgow audience and he was absolutely superb.Edgy comedy at its best.
